Freshness starts with flower selection
A beautiful bouquet can only be created from quality flowers. That is why we monitor their condition even before they reach the florist’s hands.
When receiving flowers, we check their overall condition, the firmness of the stems, leaves and blooms, as well as how far they have opened. We use only flowers that meet our standards. If a flower does not meet our requirements, we simply do not use it.
We pay the same attention to their subsequent care. Flowers are kept in suitable conditions, checked regularly, their stems are trimmed, and we make sure they have enough clean water and the right flower food. Freshness is not only about when a flower was purchased, but also about how it is cared for throughout the entire period before the bouquet is arranged.
We arrange each bouquet specifically for your order
Our bouquets do not sit pre-arranged for several days waiting for a customer. Each bouquet is prepared by a florist according to a specific order shortly before being handed over to the courier.
This allows us to check the condition of every flower once again before arranging the bouquet and select a combination that will not only look beautiful when delivered but will also have the longest possible vase life.
Before dispatch, we inspect the finished bouquet again. We check its overall appearance, the freshness of the individual flowers, and whether it matches the ordered size and character of the selected bouquet.
Fresh flowers do not always have to be fully open
When choosing a bouquet, it is natural to expect beautifully open blooms. However, with many types of flowers, less open blooms actually mean that the flowers are fresher and will last longer in a vase.
Lilies, alstroemerias, freesias and certain roses are typical examples. When delivered, some of their buds may still be closed and will gradually open over the following days.
That is why we sometimes deliberately choose less open flowers rather than blooms that may look more impressive immediately but have already used up much of their natural vase life.
As a result, the bouquet can gradually change over several days as new blooms open.
When a particular flower is not fresh enough
Flowers are a natural product, and their availability and quality vary throughout the year. The same variety may differ in bloom size, shade or stage of opening, and sometimes a particular flower may simply not be available in the quality we require.
In such cases, we prioritise freshness over using every individual stem exactly as shown.
We would rather use a fresh and suitable alternative than a flower that does not meet our standards.
When making a substitution, we make sure to preserve the value, size and overall character of the bouquet ordered.
We protect freshness on the way to the recipient
Our care does not end once the bouquet is arranged. Cut flowers are sensitive to high and low temperatures, lack of water and long journeys, so the distance and conditions in which they travel to the recipient also matter.
That is why our bouquets are arranged locally, as close as possible to the delivery location. This reduces both the time and distance the finished bouquet spends in transit and avoids unnecessary long-distance transport across the country.
Before handing the bouquet over to the courier, we prepare it so that it is protected as well as possible during the journey. We also ensure careful handling and transport conditions suitable for cut flowers.
The goal is simple: for the bouquet to arrive at the recipient’s door in the same condition in which it left the florist’s hands.
More than 99% of our bouquets last at least 7 days
With proper care, more than 99% of our bouquets last for at least 7 days. The natural vase life of individual flowers varies, of course. Some varieties last for a shorter time, while others can remain beautiful in a vase considerably longer.
Care after delivery also plays an important role. That is why we include cut-flower food free of charge and recommend a few simple steps:
- use a clean vase with plenty of fresh water,
- trim the stems diagonally again before placing them in the vase,
- change the water regularly,
- keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight, radiators and draughts,
- remove faded flowers and leaves as needed.
Proper care can significantly extend the life of your bouquet.
24-Hour Freshness Guarantee
We provide a 24-hour Freshness Guarantee for cut flowers from the time of delivery. If the bouquet is not in the expected condition, please let us know no later than 24 hours after delivery.
When assessing the situation, we take into account the nature of cut flowers, their natural lifespan, as well as the conditions in which they were kept after delivery and how they were cared for.
We assess each case individually. If we find that the flowers did not meet the quality standards we expect, we will make it right.
The Freshness Guarantee is provided in addition to your statutory rights regarding defective goods and does not limit those rights in any way.
Because our Freshness Guarantee is more than just a statement on our website. It is reflected in how we select, store, arrange and deliver flowers every day.
